I’ve heard this question or something similar to it over the years… “Is it better to be loved as a leader or to be feared as a leader?” I really don’t like the question that much because being a great leader is not a choice between those two options. I believe that it is best to be respected as a leader. Many leaders think their position warrants immediate respect and as a leader at most levels of an organization you will gain a certain amount of respect because of the office or position.
