Stuck In a Rut

I cancelled phone service with AT&T the other day. At the end of the call the employee said, and I quote, “thank you for choosing AT&T”… Really? That’s what I call being stuck in a mind-numbing state of a rut. As you’re going through your day be sure to mix things up  a bit. Pay attention to the customer and don’t just go through the motions of the work day. Managers… Pay attention to what is going on with your team. I would blame the statement of this employee on the manager just as much as on the employee. Your job and career will be what you make of it. It’s completely up to you. Get out of the rut and make your career happen.
