Paying the best rate to the newest customer and not the loyal customer who has had money in the bank for 20 years. Ever see the Sports Illustrated ads for free gifts to new subscribers? What about the loyal subscriber of 10 years who gets nothing. Ever see Direct TV offer free equipment upgrades for customers who move from one home to another? What about the person that likes where she lives? She has to pay $200 for an upgrade. When building a strong advocate or relationship based culture always be sure that your actions and decisions support the culture and move you closer to the overall vision of the organization.
