I spent the morning at a bank we have been working with for the last 6 years. This bank’s current net interest margin is 4.45%. The primary reason for such top performance is that they focus on the relationship-based customer not the price-based customer. They give the best deals to their advocates and loyal customers while they let the hot money go! They never run “new customer only” specials! While other banks are struggling, they aren’t .
We are always using new customer specials at our bank. It is very embarrassing when an exsisting customer asks for the same deal and we cannot give it to them.
